Concrete Repair

Concrete repair restores the original integrity of elevated slabs, walkways, parking garages, balconies, and any other structural elements—and improves the overall look of a property. As concrete ages, it becomes damaged and unsafe. Moisture and chloride can cause rusting of the reinforcing steel which expands exponentially to cause the concrete to fracture, spall and delaminate and necessitates restoration.

Because of the delicate nature of the concrete work, LRT Restoration repairs use the best industry materials and trained construction professionals. Concrete restoration can often be more expensive than new construction, but it will be less expensive than tearing down and building anew. Once repairs are complete, your structure will be better waterproofed and prepared to weather the years to come.

FAQs

What’s the difference between concrete repair and concrete resurfacing?

Concrete resurfacing is performed when the surface has undergone deficiencies in the top half inch of the concrete surface.
The following can be fixed with resurfacing:

  • Small cracks that don’t threaten the integrity of the concrete
  • Pitting (also known as spalling), which occurs when the concrete starts to flake away
  • Minor variations in uneven concrete

Is there a difference between concrete restoration and concrete repair?

Yes. Concrete repair focuses on fixing the problem while concrete restoration will fix the problem and improve the aesthetics as well. LRT’s concrete restoration services will both address any structure issues, but also elevate the look of your building.

Concrete restoration should be done by a trained professional with the right tools. A common project professionals handle is repairing structural cracks or damage to concrete.
